Green Athens uses a gardening design system called permaculture which mimics those found in nature. Green Athens views the city as a part of nature. The company takes into account the needs of clients and the orientation of their garden to sunlight, wind, and other environmental factors while using elements of permaculture to create functional green spaces while creating microclimates, providing shade, and reducing transpiration.
